Job Description
We are looking for a MES Technical Lead and Modeller to join a large-scale PAS-X MES roll-out program, supporting a global pharmaceutical client across multiple manufacturing sites. This is a senior technical role requiring both deep hands-on expertise and the leadership capability to guide vendors, stakeholders, and local teams through complex, multi-site implementations. In this role you will play a key role in:
- Leading architectural and technical decision-making for the PAS-X MES roll-out, ensuring alignment between the global core model and local site implementations, minimising unnecessary customisations and maintaining consistency across the program.
- Overseeing end-to-end MES configuration activities, including workflows, forms, Master Batch Records (MBRs), general MBRs (gMBRs), and Electronic Signatures & Permissions (ESP), while governing integration with enterprise and shop-floor systems such as ERP, SCADA, LIMS, and Historian.
- Ensuring the proper design and implementation of OT/IT interfaces and integration patterns, validating technical solutions against both functional and non-functional requirements, and supporting master data management and alignment processes across sites.
- Providing technical coordination across vendors and third-party suppliers, including system integrators, automation providers, and infrastructure teams, while supporting Program Managers and Deployment Leads on all technical and solution-related matters.
- Leading technical activities across the full testing lifecycle, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect management, as well as supporting Validation and Qualification activities in regulated environments.
- Overseeing deployment, go-live, and technical stabilisation activities, contributing to the resolution of complex issues and troubleshooting efforts to ensure a smooth transition at each site.
- Driving knowledge management and governance, including technical knowledge transfer to local teams, continuous improvement of documentation and implementation guidelines, and promoting solution reusability and standardisation across manufacturing sites.
Your profile
- 6–8 years of proven experience in MES/MOM implementation within industrial manufacturing environments, with hands-on expertise in the PAS-X platform, including MES/MOM solutions and OT/IT integrations.
- Strong technical grounding in enterprise and OT application architectures, system integration and interface design, and solid knowledge of the ISA-95 standard, with demonstrated experience across multi-site deployment programs.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences is highly valued, along with familiarity with validation methodologies and compliance frameworks including GAMP 5 and Computer System Validation (CSV).
- A track record of effective stakeholder engagement, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently across IT, OT, Manufacturing, and Quality teams - bridging the gap between technical detail and business outcomes.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities, including a continuous improvement mindset, analytical thinking, and the confidence to make technical decisions under pressure in complex, fast-moving program environments.
- Fluency in English is required next to French or Dutch.
- Mobility to the client's location in Beerse with some homeworking possible.
