Community Guidelines
wherewework exists because people share honestly. Every review, every salary entry, every interview story makes our community more valuable for everyone. These Community Guidelines set out how we expect everyone, employees, job seekers, employers, and recruiters, to behave on the platform so that it remains a trusted, useful, and fair resource.
These Guidelines apply to all content submitted on wherewework.com and supplement our Terms and Conditions of Use. By contributing to the platform, you agree to follow them.
1. The Core Principle: Be Honest
Everything on wherewework is built on honest, first-hand experience. We do not ask you to be kind or harsh, we ask you to be truthful. Share what you genuinely experienced. That is what makes your contribution valuable.
- Write only about companies you have personally worked at, interviewed with, or had a direct professional relationship with
- Share your own experience, do not write on behalf of others or repeat second-hand stories as your own
- Be specific and substantive, vague, generic reviews help no one
- Do not fabricate, exaggerate, or embellish facts
2. Anonymity & Identity
All contributions on wherewework are anonymous. Your name, profile picture, and personal details are never displayed publicly alongside your review or contribution. This is by design, we want you to feel free to speak honestly without professional consequences.
However, anonymity is not a licence to be reckless or harmful. The following still apply regardless of anonymity:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you write
- You must not use anonymity to make false factual claims about identifiable individuals
- You must not use anonymity to harass, threaten, or intimidate
- Your account identity is retained by wherewework for moderation and legal compliance purposes
In response to a valid legal order or credible evidence of serious harm, anonymity may be lifted to the extent required by law.

wherewework uses a combination of automated tools and human moderators to review submitted content. AI-assisted systems help us identify content that may violate our guidelines at scale and speed; all flagged content is subject to human review before any action is taken. We apply consistent standards to every contribution, whether it is positive or negative, about a large corporation or a small business. Content that does not meet our guidelines will be rejected or removed.
We do not take sides. We do not remove negative reviews because an employer objects, and we do not remove employer responses because an employee disagrees. Our role is to ensure that all content meets the standards set out here.
If you believe content on the platform violates these guidelines, you can flag it for review. We review all flags and take appropriate action.
7. Consequences of Violations
